Located on the island of Södermalm, SoFo is a former working-class district that has become in a few years the epicenter of trendy Stockholm culture. Faded buildings lack the medieval charm of Gamla Stan, the old town, or the opulence of Östermalm. Yet the colorful streets of this unpretentious district exude a relaxed atmosphere, a relaxed pace of life and a conviviality unparalleled in the Swedish capital. There are antique dealers, artisans, art galleries, decoration shops, record stores, jewelry designers, tattoo artists, hairdressers... Here, no large shopping malls but a myriad of small independent brands, charming intimate cafes, thrift stores, second-hand and vintage stores. Symbol of mass anti-consumerism, vintage is a trend that has never been so appreciated and that is shared. We reveal to you some good addresses of Sofo to unearth rare pearls.
