Fashion stores in the shopping streets of the city center and surroundings

The city has beautiful shopping streets which are home to shops of all sizes, from large retailers to small boutiques. Each street offers you a particular setting and its own atmosphere. We take you to the most beautiful streets of Stockholm, to put you in Scandinavian fashion.

Shopping centers

If you prefer to be warm indoors, there are also several shopping centers in the archipelago. They have the advantage of bringing together many stores, of different styles. Above all, you will be safe there and you can relax, eat and find good deals. They are located around Östermalm and Norrmalm.

• The Mood is Stockholm's fanciest mall. Its shops are rather high-end, in a building with designer interior decoration.
• The Gallerian is a large shopping center with 80 stores in the heart of Norrmalm City.
• The Sturegallerian is a gallery, with a glass-like domed roof, a nice upscale place where you can also have a good time for lunch or dinner.
• In the south of the archipelago, in Arsta, the Globen Shopping Center offers you a more intimate and friendly experience.

Craft and design shops

Stockholm is imbued with Scandinavian culture and its traditional know-how. Sweden is the country where design was born! You will find beautiful pieces, authentic, artisanal or trendy, but always in a Nordic spirit, refined and colorful. The essentials are:

• The district of Götgatan street, in Södermalm, hipster atmosphere assured with beautiful shops and trendy bars.
• Mariatorget street and square, still in Södermalm, a quiet and pleasant place with small charming independent shops.
• To name a few brands: Design Stockholm House, Design Torget…

To take a break, go for a walk in a park, for a coffee or to take a well-deserved Fika break.

For a change, why not try another way of consuming. We invite you to surf the vintage trend. Second-hand is on the rise and Stockholm is the perfect city to introduce you to second-hand shopping.

Only one place to recommend, or even not to miss under any circumstances: “SoFo”. This is the district of “South of Folkungagatan”, on the island of Södermalm.
